I bought a poetry and fiction magazine today, and I read an article about a publishing company called Featherproof Books. They're pretty new, and they seemed really cool.......so I emailed them. I asked if vampire fiction (what I tend to write more than anything else) is the kind of submission they care to receive. ....am I completely nuts if they say yes, and I send something in??? I fully expect to receive a big fat rejection slip if I do....but at least then I can say that I've tried.O_ONow I'm nervous.
good luck :]
GO FOR IT!!!! If you submit, the worst they cna do is say no. The best they can do is publish it. Youe got nothing to loose, and everything to gain.I say you should go for it. Good luck!
:) Thanks. The thing is...what if it did work? What if that one-in-a-million chance worked, and I suddenly found myself with a book deal? I can't afford to finance a whole lot, and the money that's put away for me isn't available until I am 25. O_O
if they're goi to pay you for a book, then thye're well, yano, probably gonna pay you. You just have to try, and worry about the what-ifs when they come.LIfe tends to work out, you just gotta believe that you can do it.
:D I like that optimistic view of things. It would be awesome to get published, but I'll also be happy just trying, and writing for myself for the rest of my life, if it comes to that. :)
*grins* then don't let anything stop you. Especially not your fears.
